Pajaro (pá-ha-ro) means "bird" in Spanish and is aptly named, since the golf course adjoins the Elkhorn Slough, a bird sanctuary. Many species of birds and wildlife may be seen while enjoying the quiet and gentle rolling course suited for all players. Clean air and cool breezes from the Monterey Bay and Pacific Coast ensure a perfect golf experience. A wonderful place to play, conveniently located in Royal Oaks, off Highway 1, on Salinas Road. Take a scenic drive down the coast from San Francisco, a short escape from Silicon Valley over the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains, or a short drive up the coast from Carmel or Monterey.
